Current Home Studio Set Up

Jason Landry home studio

When it comes to studio gear, I’m not a gear snob, nor do I think that I need the newest and coolest shit to get the job done. I do have to say that when we built our new home two years ago, I created a nice studio space for myself. However, due to the pandemic, I had to move my in-laws into my home and my new studio became my father-in-laws bedroom. Now I’m in the basement which I’ve dubbed “The Situation Room”, because this was the ONLY situation that would get me to move out of my newly designed space.

Anyhow, Here’s a list of the key elements that I use to create my music. Got questions or need suggestions for your studio or music making process? Hit me up and I’ll gladly talk to you about any of it:

Computer: Apple 15-inch MacBook Pro (2015 model)

DAW: Logic Pro X

Plug-ins: iZotope, Waves, Spitfire Audio, Toontrack EZ Drummer, Amplitude 4

Midi Controller: Akai MPK-225

Studio Monitors: KRK Rokit 5

Headphones: Audio-Technica ATH-M50x

Audio Interface: Focusrite 2i2

I’d like to eventually get a TV over the desk and some plants and other decorations in the new year to make it a little more cozy. Until then, I’ll just keep making music.
